Housing and Dining
Learn about our different residence halls, dining hall and coffee shops—as well as information about meal plans.
Your home for the next four years.
Living on campus is more than just sleeping and eating there. You’ll create connections, grow your independence, and explore new food. It’s where your college experience (and that lifelong Jimmie pride!) begins.
Why living on-campus matters.
Our on-campus housing provides students with a living/learning environment that is integral to our mission of developing wholeness in students. That’s because each of our residence halls fosters a guided, group-living experience—one that aims to improve your personal, educational, and social skills.
- Social Environment- Each student housing building has a team of Resident Assistants (Ras) dedicated to making your experience exceptional. They plan activities, host floor meetings in community lounges, encourage engagement, and support student needs.
- Safety First – All residence halls are locked 24/7 with keycard access. Building Ras are also trained in safety practices, including first aid/CPR, AED, and Narcan.
Living on-campus has other perks, like proximity to classes, the Foss Wellness Center, and our dining halls. You can walk from one end of campus to the other in just six minutes. So, if waking up early isn’t your thing, there’s a good chance you can still make it to class on time!
Foodies rejoice!
Knight Hall, our main dining area (referred to as The Caf’), offers a wide variety of food. Try something new each day—stir fry, Italian chicken bowls, or something from the make-your-own salad bar. Or stick to a classic, like pizza, burgers and specialty omelets.
Just looking for a quick pick-me-up? Stop at Caribou Coffee or Knight & Day Coffee House in between classes. Each offers a full menu of coffee, beverages, snacks and baked goods.
Meal Plans
We provide three meal plan options. Each offers a certain number of meals (pertaining to Knight Hall), as well as Jimmie Bucks which can be used for purchases at Harold Newman Arena concessions, Caribou Coffee and Knight & Day Coffee. Jimmie Bucks transfer from first to second semester, but not from year-to-year. Additional Jimmie Bucks are available in $25 increments.
