Wendy Banister (’89) promoted to Director
Wendy Banister (’89) has been promoted to Director of Workforce Management for the BNSF Railway. This newly created Workforce Management team integrates multiple business groups, with similar functions related to the execution of Labor Agreements for 36,000 union employees for the BNSF.
Wendy joined the railroad as a clerk in 1995. She was hired by the former Burlington Northern railroad in Fargo, ND. Following the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe merger in 1996, Wendy and her wife, Amber, moved to Kansas in order to follow her work post-merger. Over the years, Wendy has continued to expand her role and responsibilities in various positions related to the work done by the department she now leads.
Wendy is the niece of Kate Stevenson, UJ Associate Professor of German and French, and daughter of Linda Banister, DM, former UJ Instructor of Music.
