Lutheran Social Services presented University of Jamestown with the Dove Award to, according to an article in News Dakota, “not only celebrate 100 years of service, but to also recognize individuals and organizations who have helped along the way.”

At the presentation, CEO Jessica Thomasson explained that doves are a symbol of wayfinding, peace, and of God being present – claiming that the award thanks the four area recipients for making their love-your-neighbor-call real in the community.1
