The Best Decision
Before coming onto campus at UJ my freshman year, I had no idea what to expect. Coming from a small town and a graduating class of 20 students, I was excited to come to college and be around a bigger group of people. UJ had the perfect combination of being close enough where I could go home and visit my family any weekend I had wanted, but far enough away where I still felt that I was on my own.
Playing college basketball was something I knew I always wanted to do, and the University of Jamestown and Coach Neville gave me that opportunity. Being a part of the basketball team here has given me friendships and memories that will last for the rest of my life—whether that be hanging out with everyone in Kroeze Courtyard freshman year to making a run to the Elite Eight this year. I wouldn’t trade the world for the memories these last four years. Being involved in a college sport has taught me so many life lessons that I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise, and I am so grateful to be able to experience it.
One of the best blessings about UJ is the professors—professors that care so much about your success and go out of their way to make sure you do succeed. Being in small class helped me grow strong relationships with my professors.
Lastly, I would just like to say how thankful I am to my professors, friends, and coaches at UJ for helping me become the person that I am today. Coming to UJ was definitely the best decision I have made in my life, and I hope others can have the positive experience here that I had.
