Looking Back
My time here at UJ has been an unbelievable experience! I have met my best friends here and can honestly say it is going to be bittersweet once I graduate.
I still remember my first day on campus like it was yesterday – from the first time I had Marge’s omelets to the live DJ in the Kroeze courtyard. However, as a freshman, I was not accustomed to the freedom of truly being able to make my own decisions. UJ taught me how to balance my priorities and gave me the pathway to become the best version of myself
My first two years here at UJ, I was a two-sport athlete with a full class schedule. It was tremendously stressful, and I felt myself falling behind in all three. That is when I decided it was time to give one up – leaving the baseball team was one of the hardest choices I have ever had to make.
However, looking back, I know I made the right choice. Being a part of the UJ Football program has taught me so many life lessons about determination, accountability, and trust.
Now that I am in my senior year, I have gotten the chance to look back and realize how truly blessed I am to be able to be a part of something bigger than myself. Being a Jimmie is and forever will be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love this place and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be here!
GO JIMMIES!
