LaMoore Waldo (’14) Honored
Members of the Alfred Dickey Public Library have decided to honor Edna LaMoore Waldo (‘14) by naming the east room in the library “The Waldo Room.” The room will also feature a plaque and photo of Edna.
Edna, the older sister of novelist Louis L’Amour, was born in Jamestown in 1893, graduated from UJ, and worked as a journalist, author, and teacher, as well as a librarian at Jamestown Public Library, University of Jamestown’s Library and Bismarck Public Library. Edna passed away in 1999.
