Gallery: Jimmie Scramble raises funds for scholarships
The 38th annual Jimmie Scramble raised $67,000 for student-athlete scholarships for University of Jamestown in June.
The tournament welcomed 70 teams – made up of 280 golfers — to Jamestown Country Club on June 15. The players came here from Arizona, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Canada.
“Guess what? The Jimmie Scramble isn’t just about golf, it’s about making a difference,” said UJ Booster Club Director Tara Kapp. “Thanks to our awesome alumni, dedicated donors, super sponsors, and passionate participants, we’ve turned this into the biggest golf tourney in Jamestown. And that’s not all – it’s also one of UJ’s largest, single-event fundraisers for student athletic scholarships raising $67,000.”
The winning teams in each division are listed below.
Net Division: Jeremy Anderson, Jason Christianson, Matt Grenz, and Nick Johnson.
Gross Division: Nolan Frank, Trent Hagenson, Nathan Kapaun, and Brandon Stalhut.
Women’s Division: Jamie Bear, Heidi Koenig, Jessica Pfau, and Jackie Loepp.
The Jimmie Scramble is played each year during Father’s Day weekend, with the Jimmie Shootout scheduled the Friday before. Austin Rene and Brandon Stalhut won this year’s shootout, which registered 94 two-person teams.
