Burton (’17) awarded USTA grant
Leah Burton (‘17) has been awarded a US Teaching Assistantship Program (USTA) grant for the 2017-2018 academic year.
She will join a team of 140 graduates from colleges and universities across the United States. The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and Women’s Affairs (BMBF) Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship Program – whose purpose is to bring talented young people from abroad into classrooms in cities, towns and rural locations throughout Austria – places these graduates into secondary schools.
While at UJ, Leah majored in French, German, and Business Administration. She was named a College Fellow in German and French in 2015, and received the Felix Wirz Award for Excellence in Foreign Languages in 2016.
