Admission & Aid
Learn about how admission and aid work at UJ for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Be a part of something bigger than yourself.
When you come to University of Jamestown, you don’t just join a small, liberal arts University. You join a family. One of the easiest ways to learn more about how you’d fit in at UJ (as well as to get information about how to apply and financial aid) is to request more information from an admissions counselor.
Our counselors are your advocates – helping you:
- Apply for scholarship and merit awards
- Connect with faculty and coaches
- Plan a campus visit
- Review housing options
- Answer questions whenever they arise
Once you connect, you’ll have the same, dedicated counselor. This is a person-to-person experience—never a sales pitch. While it doesn’t happen often, sometimes career goals don’t align with what UJ offers. If that’s the case, our counselors will let you know. Because their job is to make sure UJ is the best place to live your dreams and become successful.
Sometimes, seeing is believing.
Visiting Campus —virtually or in person—is the best way to see what makes UJ so exceptional. Our tours are individualized to your interests. Select a date and time, and let us know what you’d like to experience. Tour campus, enjoy lunch, meet with faculty or a coach. You name it – we’ll make it happen!
Applying to UJ
We look at the whole person…not just your numbers. That’s why we don’t require test scores on your application. Plus, applying is FREE, takes no more than 15 minutes, and you don’t need official transcripts. Learn more about application requirements and how to apply.
Let’s talk numbers
We believe every student, regardless of their financial situation, should have access to a UJ education. 100% of our full-time undergraduate students have some type of financial aid, with scholarship packages starting at $8,000 minimum. Your counselor for admissions will also personally walk you through financial aid, including the process of filing a FAFSA, maximizing your eligibility for aid, and answering any questions you may have along the way.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
We believe in transparency. We work with families individually through the financial aid process. And they’re usually surprised to find UJ is their most affordable option. See the breakdown of costs and learn about tuition, fees, and payments.
