The PhD in Clinical Research program is guided by an accomplished advisory board. This board is made up of established academics, clinicians, and experts from across the United States. They are responsible for reviewing curriculum, assisting with program outcomes, and providing research expertise to support students.
Erin Simunds, MS, PT, Ed.DMs. Simunds is a faculty member at Concordia University St. Paul, MN with extensive experience in Pediatric Physical Therapy. She is completing her EdD in Educational Leadership. |

James Morrison, PhDDr. Morrison is a Professor of Organizational and Community Leadership in the School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware. He has more than 105 peer-reviewed publications and served as the Chief Executive Editor for the Journal of Education for Business for 10 years. |

Colin Bond, PhDDr. Bond, who received his PhD in Exercise Science & Nutrition, is a Manager Biomechanical Engineer with Sanford Health. He is responsible for multi-project sports performance, orthopedics, and sports medicine research. |

Noelle Trinder, DNP, MSN-Ed, RNDr. Trinder, who received her DNP in Health Systems Leadership, is the Senior Director of Healthcare Careers at Banner Health Corporate. She has a certificate in biomedical research, as well as three FEMA certificates. |

Rhoda Owens, PhD, RNDr. Owens, who has her PhD in Teaching and Learning, is a Professor of Nursing at the University of North Dakota. Her dissertation is titled “Community College Part-time Faculty Perceptions During Their Role Transition from Expert Clinician to Clinical Instructor”. |

Patricia Moulton Burwell, PhDDr. Moulton Burwell, who received her PhD in Experimental Psychology, is the Director of the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers. She also serves as adjunct faculty at UJ, teaching leadership and health services research courses. Dr. Moulton Burwell is considered an expert in public policy. |

Karen Robinson, PhD, RNDr. Karen Robinson is a researcher consultant and clinical quality analyst at Sanford and Essential Health in Fargo, ND. She has extensive research experience in areas related to nursing practice. |

Lisa MacFadden, PhDDr. MacFadden is the Director of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Sanford Health. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is considered an expert in biomechanics and movement science. |

Jeff Kelly, JDKelly is a Legal Counsellor and Business Development Advisor. He provides guidance to Corporations and Boards of Directors regarding potential liability, compliance, and strategic issues. Kelly is considered an expert in patent law. |

Lyndsey Vandenberg, DPT, EdDDr. Vandenberg is the Director of Clinical Education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Concordia University St. Paul and has extensive background in guiding the Capstone Research process. She also has an EdD in Educational Leadership. |

Sean Collins, PT, ScDDr. Collins, who received his ScD in Ergonomics & Epidemiology, is a tenured Professor of Physical Therapy at Plymouth State University. He also serves as their Director of Soccer Analytics and is considered an expert in statistics. |
